It seems like we’ve been looking for an excuse, for several years, to get back to the place where Jay and Kristie first met. We finally came up with a good one. Our friends Andy and Susan are having a baby so we decided to join our friends Beth and Mike in throwing a party for them. The weekend fun started Thursday with dinner at Mike and Beth’s. Parker enjoyed playing with their daughter Ashley and Kristie enjoyed seeing the latest Csernovicz Drew (6 months old). After eating, Jay and Mike donned their black and gold and headed out to Vanderbilt Stadium where “we” beat the Gamecocks. Sound familiar? There seems to be something about these families being together when these teams are playing. Friday was a rainy day, but we still found time to head downtown to walk around a little bit. Saturday was a big day. It started with a bang as the three of us met our friend Daniel Kirsch for breakfast at everybody’s favorite, Pancake Pantry. After a good late morning rest, it was time to head out to Loveless Cafe for the shower. The biscuits and fried chicken where as amazing as we had remembered! Everyone had a great time and Parker enjoyed playing with his new friend Yago. Afterwards, we stopped by to see our friend Harriet Workman and her husband David. Parker wasted no time warming up to her. Sunday, it was time to return to the real world, but not before stopping by to see our friend Daniel Smith in Cookeville. Parker handled the drive like a champ.
